On this page, persons with disabilities will be able to access information regarding
the different services available to people living with Intellectual, Hearing/Speaking, Seeing, and Physical Disabilities.
Disabilities and Their Services
There are many advantages to registering disabled persons in Cape Coast. With more
accurate information about people living with disabilities in Cape Coast, the Government and Assembly will
be able to offer better services for disabled people, such as putting ramps into public buildings and
considering their needs for planning services. As well, registered persons will then have access to
a local Disability Association, of which there are currently four. These associations help people by
providing them with practical and social support as well as education on their disability.
