General Information

Registering a Day Care Centre in the Cape Coast area is a requirement before opening for operation. Below are the instructions for properly registering a Day Care Centre.

ALL DAY CARE CENTRES NOT REGISTERED ARE SUBJECT TO TERMINATION WITHOUT NOTICE!

Registering a Day Care Centre

Provide the Department of Social Welfare with the following:

1. An application letter addressed to the Metropolitan Director of Social Welfare.
2. Purchase form for registration from Department of Social Welfare.
3. Purchase Rules and Regulations Booklet from the Department of Social Welfare.
4. Once forms for registration are purchased and returned to the office, an inspection of the premises by Officers from the Department of Social Welfare will be done, and a report written.
5. The filled out registration form, application letter and social investigation report should then be taken to Accra for the Award of Certificate.
• This can be done by the Department of Social Welfare for a fee.
