The Vinton Noon Kiwanis Club was formed in 1947 and has been an active participant in community projects since its beginning.   Although a member of Kiwanis International (founded in 1915) the Vinton Noon Kiwanis Club has always emphasized serving the local community, especially the youth.

The club maintains an average of 45 members of which 35 are considered active and is primarily comprised of business and/or service-minded men and women from this area.

Please join us to learn more about this club.   It meets each Tuesday from 12:00-1:00p.m. at the Pizza Ranch in Vinton.   A guest speaker is featured at each meeting except the first Tuesday of the month when the board meets.

This club provides funds and supports various events and organizations.   These include:

  • Easter Egg Hunt for the entire community
  • 3 - $500 scholarships to graduating Vinton High School Seniors
  • Support Kiwanis Park with funding and work days
  • Sponsor a youth team for the local cancer walk
  • Work at Party in the Park, a city celebration
  • Contribute to Special Olympics teams
  • Park cars for home football games
  • Christmas Party for special needs children with Santa and presents for each child

From time to time we contribute to special community projects which enhance the lives of families that live in this area.   The most recent example is a $5,000 donation to the Vinton Parks and Recreation Department for the miniature golf course and water slide.
